Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Conveyor Inc. ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Shivr application (the "App") distributed via Apple's App Store.

Shivr is a voice-first dating application in which users record short voice memos, browse other users' voice memos, match on mutual likes, and exchange voice and text messages. We have designed the App to minimize the data we collect about you. By using the App you consent to the practices described below.


1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your sign-in identifier (Sign in with Apple identity token, Google identity token, or for testing accounts, a username/password), your display name, and your date of birth. You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.

Profile information. Your profile includes a display name, age (derived from date of birth), gender, city/region/country, optional bio text, optional photos, and optional language tags. You choose what to share.

Voice recordings. Shivr is built around the voice. When you record your 30-second voice bio or send a voice message inside a match thread, the audio is stored on our servers. Voice messages between matched users are ephemeral: the audio bytes are deleted from our servers after the recipient plays the message twice, and any voice message that is not fully played is purged after 30 days.

Photos. Profile photos you upload remain sealed from other users until both you and a match tap to unseal each other's photos. You can re-seal at any time by deleting your photos in Settings.

Microphone and camera permissions. Access to the microphone is requested only when you record a voice bio or voice message. Access to the photo library is requested only when you choose to add a profile photo. You may revoke either permission from iOS Settings → Shivr at any time.

Approximate location. If you grant the "When In Use" location permission, we use your approximate location to surface candidates near you on the Discover stack. We do not display your exact coordinates to other users — only a rounded integer distance (e.g. "7 km"). Location data is not retained in identifiable form once a session ends; only your most recent latitude and longitude are stored, and you can clear them by toggling the discovery-location switch in Settings.

Swipes, matches, and messages. We record each swipe (like, super-star, pass) and each formed match so we can render your Letters inbox and prevent duplicate candidates. Text messages within matches are stored to deliver the conversation; voice messages follow the ephemeral rules described above.

Push notification token. If you grant notification permission, we store your iOS push token so we can notify you when someone likes or super-stars you, when a match is formed, when you receive a message, and when a voice note has been heard.

Device and usage information. We log basic device information (iOS version, app version, device model class) and product usage events (sign-in success/failure, app crashes) for service operation, troubleshooting, and abuse detection. We do not include third-party advertising trackers in the App.

We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics platforms beyond the technical providers above. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and profile data while your account is active. The following retention rules apply:

How to delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the App: open the Self tab → Settings → "Delete account". Deletion takes effect immediately on the live service; remaining cleanup of backups completes within 90 days. You can also request deletion by emailing [email protected]. This in-app delete option is provided in compliance with Apple's App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v).

Shivr has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users (Apple App Store Review Guideline 1.2). The App provides:

Shivr is intended only for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately and terminate the account.

8. International Transfers

We store data on servers located in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards when transferring personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

10. GDPR (EU / UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you have additional rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port, and object to processing of your personal data. Our lawful bases for processing are: (a) your consent (microphone, location, notifications, optional photo upload); (b) performance of our contract with you (to operate your account, matching, and messaging); and (c) our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the service. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. AI Conveyor Inc. does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

12. Apple's Role

You acknowledge that Shivr is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (Standard EULA), including the Usage Rules described therein, except where these Terms expressly provide otherwise. Apple's privacy practices for the App Store and other Apple services are described in the Apple Privacy Policy. AI Conveyor Inc., not Apple, is responsible for the App and its content.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page; for material changes we will provide additional notice inside the App and, where required, request renewed consent.
