You're Grounded! — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

You're Grounded! ("we," "our," or "us") is a parent-controlled iOS game designed for kids ages 5–12. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information — the short version is that the app does not collect personal information from children, gameplay works fully offline, and the only data that ever leaves your device is what is needed to process an App Store subscription or — if you choose — to sign in with Apple.

2. Offline-First by Default

You're Grounded! works fully offline. Gameplay, parent-configured tasks, and progress never require an internet connection. Internet is only used when you explicitly opt in — for example, to sign in with Apple, or when iOS contacts the App Store to manage a subscription.

3. Local Device Storage Only

Game state, parent-configured tasks, settings, and progress are stored only in the app's local sandbox on your device. They never leave the device, and they are removed when you delete the app.

4. Sign in with Apple (Optional)

You're Grounded! supports optional Sign in with Apple, used only to restore Premium across your devices. If you choose to sign in, Apple may share an anonymous identifier and — at your choice — your name and email (or an Apple-provided private relay address). The app does not require sign-in to play, and you can use it fully without creating any account.

5. No Analytics, No Ads, No Tracking

You're Grounded! does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or behavioral-tracking SDKs. We do not profile users, build advertising audiences, sell data, or use tracking pixels.

6. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Premium subscriptions and any in-app purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store through StoreKit. Apple handles your payment information, receipts, and renewals — we never see or store credit-card details, billing addresses, or Apple ID credentials.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

You're Grounded! is designed for children under adult supervision and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• We do not collect personal information from children — sign-in is optional and intended for the parent
• We do not show advertising to anyone, ever
• We do not perform behavioral profiling, targeting, or tracking
• A parental gate (a math challenge) protects external links and purchases from accidental access by kids
• The app is parent-controlled by design — kids can only access content the parent has enabled

8. Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store / StoreKit — distribution and subscription processing
• Sign in with Apple — optional authentication for restoring Premium across devices

9. Your Rights

Because we don't collect personal data from children and any account information is stored by Apple, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our own servers. 10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of You're Grounded! after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
